Maternity and Newborn Photography Sussex

Sometimes the journey to becoming a family isn’t a simple or carefree one. For this amazing couple it was a long road with many potholes and heartbreak along the way.  But they bravely faced every obstacle in their way, determined not to let anything stop them from becoming the family they knew in their hearts they were going to be.

Lou got in touch with me at just 13 weeks pregnant with the words… “I have waited a long time to be able to message you…”. Her and her partner Jack had finally been successful with IVF and were absolutely over the moon and couldn’t wait to have some precious photo memories of this time.

On the date of their planned maternity shoot the weather was horrendous! Hoping for a better weather day, we postponed until the following week and kept everything crossed for a brighter day. Being a Shoreham family photographer I’m used to battling the elements, but always want to do my best to plan for the best possible weather days to ensure my lovely people get the most out of their sessions.
On the new day of their shoot, the weather was amazing. The sun was going down and gave Lou and Jack the most gorgeous golden hour for their photos. The lens flare even created a rainbow over Lou’s bump which was just perfect.

There and then, they decided they wanted to book me to photograph their newborn little girl when she arrived and I was over the moon. There’s nothing more amazing than meeting a couple before their baby arrives and then being able to meet their little one too. I absolutely love being a Shoreham family photographer and having the honour of capturing these incredible life moments.

I was so excited to receive the message that Lou and Jack’s little girl had arrived. At just days old I went to their home to take photos of the three of them finally as a unit together. I honestly felt emotional meeting their beautiful little girl! She was an absolute dream to photograph and I loved spending time with this wonderful family for their maternity and newborn photos in Sussex.
