To say that Covid-19 threw a spanner in the works for weddings would be a massive understatement. 23 of my wonderful couples who had booked me as their Sussex wedding photographer had to postpone and rearrange their weddings booked for 2020, some of them 2 or three times over.

My heart broke every time I spoke to one of them and heard them voice their concerns and frustrations, but the resilience and positivity they held onto through it all was just incredible.

For a very fortunate few, their wedding date fell on the small window of time where weddings were allowed to go ahead, albeit with very limited numbers. One of these weddings was Charlotte and Jordan’s.

Charlotte and Jordan had been watching the news more than the weather leading up to their intimate Sussex wedding. They were absolutely determined to marry each other no matter what!

The sun shined oh so brightly on the morning of their wedding day and the atmosphere on their home and church was like nothing I’ve experienced before as a wedding photographer in Shoreham. Ecstatic joy, anticipation, relief and a whole lot of emotion rolled into one.

They said their vows surrounded by their closest families and friends and headed up to Cissbury Ring for some portraits of just the two of them afterwards. I honestly was so full of emotion and gratitude to be with them and capture what felt like the most incredible event during this time of pandemic. It was the sweetest and most love-filled day you could imagine.
