Brighton weddings are always so beautifully iconic and I’m always so honoured to capture these amazing days as a Brighton wedding photographer. When holly and Mark got in touch looking for a wedding photographer in Brighton I was so excited! They were planning an intimate wedding day at the Hotel Du Vin very close to…
Everyone loves the idea of a warm summer wedding in Sussex. Well, these two woke up to the hottest day of the year on their day! Anyone who knows the UK knows that that 30+ degrees at midday is headlines newsworthy hot! Jenni and Ross had met me months before and during that time had…
To say that Covid-19 threw a spanner in the works for weddings would be a massive understatement. 23 of my wonderful couples who had booked me as their Sussex wedding photographer had to postpone and rearrange their weddings booked for 2020, some of them 2 or three times over. Getting married in the winter months is always a bit of a gamble weather wise, but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a more beautiful sunny February day than on the morning of Lydia & Michael’s wedding in Shoreham. Lydia was getting ready at the family home where she had grown up and upon arrival…
One afternoon I received a phone call from the lovely Tamara who shared with me all her hopes for her dream wedding at the beautiful Nymans National Trust in Sussex. I was so happy when Bethan & Josh asked if I could do a pre-wedding or engagement shoot with them a few months before their wedding day. Everyone wants beautiful, relaxed wedding photos and having an engagement session with your photographer before your wedding day where you get to know them and their cameras always helps…
It’s always a pleasure to get to know couples a few weeks or months before their big day on an engagement or pre-wedding shoot. Not only does it help us get to know each other before the wedding – but it also gets them used to being in front of the camera. As it happens, I knew Andy and Gen before so it was such a joy to get to photograph them shortly after they got engaged.
I’ve found that engagement photography is such a great bonus for couples because, as I mentioned, it gets them used to being in front of the camera – but more than that – it gives them some perfect, more casual photos, to go alongside their formal looks on the Big Day.
It was such a lovely late-afternoon stroll through Bramber Castle ruins and around the grounds in Steyning. Thanks for the opportunity to do this pre-wedding shoot, guys and I absolutely cannot wait to get your wedding photography to complete the set at your highly-anticipated wedding next week.
