It has been a tremendous honour to have worked with the Ronald McDonald House Charity (RMHC) here in Brighton over the last year. The charity works around the country to provide houses for parents and families that need emergency accommodation when a child is taken to hospital away from home. As they put it ‘you may need us when the best medical care for your child isn’t close to home’. It’s such an important and wonderful service that enables families to be close to their children during potentially traumatic and certainly emotionally-straining times.
I recently became their photographer when late last year I was asked to come and capture a very special and precious moment. A family who had previously used the Brighton RMHC, and were so touched by its’ impact and support during a difficult season, revisited the house with their two children. It was such a touching moment to see the kids healthy and happy when they ran circles around me, enjoying and remembering the house’s fun activities…
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Emily for a few years now and I was overjoyed when she told me she was expecting a baby. Sharing my love of photography she totally appreciates capturing fleeting moments and the value of a moment caught in a photo forever. I was so happy to take these photos…
It’s always a joy to get to capture family moments – and that’s especially true with the arrival of a newborn. So it was such a lovely experience to photograph Dan and Sam both before and after the arrival of their gorgeous newborn baby girl.
Telling both sides of the story, and both shoots taking place at Warren Hill, just a few weeks apart – it was amazing to see how much of a life-changing experience a newborn baby can bring to a family. The two shoots, when put together, told the perfect story of progression from a couple of two – to a family of three.
I was so excited to capture the story amongst an atmosphere of a lush autumnal forest, surrounding such a precious and gorgeous family. Thank-you Dan and Sam for letting me capture those moments with you.
Photography often puts me in some of the most exciting moments and I love capturing them. Usually it’s best demonstrated by people at Weddings or special events – but on occasions, my work takes me on animal adventures – and they are sometimes just as fun.
Whether it’s Pet Photography, taking pictures of that special four-legged member of the family or whether it’s Zoo Photography, capturing some of the wildest and most exotic creatures – it’s always a blast. Some of the highlights for me would have been when a bride was surprised to see her beloved horse trot towards her on her wedding day. Or the surprise birthday gift of being covered in Meerkats for my husband’s birthday.
I have a special soft-spot for all things animals, and animal photography is an absolute highlight for me. So if you’re a zoo or farm looking for photography or a family who knows that a pet is every bit as important a part of the pack – then I’d love to come and capture some special moments.
Lydia and Michael’s wedding took place on a bright February morning where the rare winter sunshine made everyone feel like spring had arrived to celebrate with them. I met Lydia and her bridal party at her family home where she had grown up and was welcomed to the smell of croissants fresh from the oven….
My heart skips a beat whenever people book me for their maternity photos in Sussex. Pregnancy and pregnant women amaze me. Partners of pregnant women amaze me (I have so much respect for my husband who has walked through two pregnancies with me!). Seeing parents in this precious time just before they are holding their…
~ happy valentine’s day ~ Love should be shared, displayed, enjoyed and remembered. You don’t have to be engaged or getting married to have some special photos taken on the two of you. I’ve taken many photoshoots of people who are simply in love with no other motives. If you’d like some beautiful photos that…
Recently I spent a sweet summer evening with this couple just days before their little one was born. They wanted a maternity photoshoot in Brighton before their little girl arrived so they could look back on this precious season in their lives. Everything was perfect – the sunset light, the anticipation of the arrival of their little girl,…
