Ronald McDonald House Photography

It has been a tremendous honour to have worked with the Ronald McDonald House Charity (RMHC) here in Brighton over the last year. The charity works around the country to provide houses for parents and families that need emergency accommodation when a child is taken to hospital away from home. As they put it ‘you may need us when the best medical care for your child isn’t close to home’. It’s such an important and wonderful service that enables families to be close to their children during potentially traumatic and certainly emotionally-straining times.

I recently became their photographer when late last year I was asked to come and capture a very special and precious moment. A family who had previously used the Brighton RMHC, and were so touched by its’ impact and support during a difficult season, revisited the house with their two children. It was such a touching moment to see the kids healthy and happy when they ran circles around me, enjoying and remembering the house’s fun activities.

Not only was it a privilege to capture these precious moments, but I was blown away to have my photography used across the main marketing for the Ronald McDonald House Charities branding only a few weeks later. Seeing my work, and this beautiful family, across the main McDoanlds website, Email Marketing, in-store menu screens and even the tray covers was such a joy.

I still work with Ronald McDonald House Charities, my most recent piece being only a few weeks ago. You can read the touching valentines story on their blog here. I absolutely love working with this fantastic charity and am so grateful for the opportunity to see and work with such amazing people.
